There’s something about New York that leaves me absolutely mesmerized and inspired after my visit. Granted I’ve only been there twice but this has happened each time I have been there. After my most recent visit however I have never felt so inspired and determined to make my dreams of living in New York before I’m 30 come true. I can’t stress how much I think I would have no problem becoming a local New Yorker, even my best friend from high school told me I belong there when discussing her future move. On top of feeling incredibly motivated to make a plan of how I’m going to make the move to New York happen in the future I just felt motivated to work on establishing other dreams of mine and channeling my inner creativity even more than I have been. It must have something to do with the fact that New York is well known as a city where people come to accomplish their dreams, it definitely felt that way when I was there.
I think this trip was perfect timing being so close to the end of 2015, around this time people set goals that they want to achieve in 2016 (there will be a separate post about that) and feeling so inspired about my New York trip has really triggered me to think of how I want to utilize that inspiration and how to channel it in the future. Mainly I want to continue coloring but I really am excited to try and get into painting more. I have found lately that is something I really really enjoy and I want to pursue trying to paint on my own time outside of the paint and sip classes I go to on occasion.
Besides feeling inspired coming home from my trip, I felt so mesmerized as I said earlier which I think lead to some pretty great photography (I included some in my first New York post last Monday) but I wanted to share some today with you and possibly write a few reasons why this inspires me under a few photos. I decided to include the 100% raw photo, meaning I didn’t edit these photos at all so that way you could see the real beauty of what inspired me while I took these photos.
There really is nothing like feeling so inspired, it is so energizing and feeling this inspired puts me in a really positive mood and sparks my “I’m going to make it happen” attitude I have sort of lost a bit in this year due to some difficult challenges. It’s great to be reminded that I am that person who goes after what I want and I really think this New York trip was exactly what I need to refuel, refresh, and just be inspired self.
