Last weekend we went to what I like to call my happy place in the Bay Area, Fort Funston. If you haven’t heard of it, Fort Funston is a beach on the border of San Francisco and Daily City where dogs can run around and play off leash. Not only is it my happy place because there’s a ton of happy playful dogs running around but because being by the water in general is my happy place. So much so that I’m convinced that I was a fish in a previous life if that’s a thing. Fort Funston is actually Luna’s happy place as well, she absolutely loves playing on the beach and getting a tongue full of sand from playing fetch. In fact she’s pretty stubborn on that’s the only way to do it.
This was Bowie’s first time to Funston but also just his first outing in general. He was a little shy and scared but I think he was just overwhelmed with what the world was like outside of our place. I’m sure next time he will be more willing to check it out. He spent majority of the time at my feet, a true momma’s boy, and would run over to be by other people’s feet from time to time. Basically Bowie made friends with all the humans, he would say a quick hi and then run back to be right underneath me. It was cute but I tried by best to keep moving so he could explore.
Besides that, it was the most perfect weather! HELLO SPRING FEVER, it’s been 75 degrees and sunny for the past week in the Bay and let me tell you I just want to spend all my time outside. It’s starting to feel like spring already, the trees are in bloom, the weather is nice, and I’m just ready to run outside and go on our next adventure. So you can expect a lot more photo heavy, adventure themed blog posts around here. In fact we might just end up back at Funston tomorrow… we shall see if not Funston I know we will take the dogs somewhere to play and explore this weekend.
