Hi guys, well I can’t believe I’m sitting here typing up a March recap already. Not only did this month go quickly but it was pretty busy for me. So today I’m going to take you through the life of Allie this past March.
To begin, I got to see my sister on three separate occasions this month. I’m glad since she is going to be staying in Portland all summer taking classes so I’m unsure when I will be able to see her again. I’m hoping I might be able to take a trip to Portland this summer. While my sister was home for her spring break I got to go to the deYoung museum in Golden Gate park with her and my mom to check out the Oscar de la Renta exhibit. I wrote a blog post filled with photos here if you missed it. I’m actually going again this month with my boss and was thinking about snap chatting it so that way people who would love to see the exhibit but can’t make it out to San Fransisco have a chance of seeing it. Let me know if you guys would like me to do this.
After that it was time to prepare for my four day trip to Portland the following weekend. But I got to do something new and exciting at this time, I was a guest poster for one of my blogging besties Amanda. Amanda, from the blog Chasing My Sunshine, kindly had me do a guest post about what to do this spring in San Fransisco. You can read that here if you missed it! Thanks again Amanda you rock!
Portland, which if you haven’t caught on by my blog posts yet, Sean and I absolutely loved it and had a really amazing time on our trip. If you didn’t get a chance to read any of my blog posts covering my Portland trip, I’ll leave them here, here, and here for you to go have a look. Sean and I are hoping to make another trip this summer to Portland since my sister will be there all summer long taking classes, and I figured my birthday is a good excuse 😉 If we do go again you bet that we will be doing another food tour because that was both of ours favorite part. One of the really cool things I got to do on this trip was meet one of my blogging besties, Callie Gisler in real life! Callie is a blogger who lives in the area and host of the Twitter chat #CreativeCoffeeHour, which I participate in every Monday at 6pm PST. I had the honor of cohosting the Twitter chat with Callie at Palio coffee. It was such an awesome experience being able to work with Callie but also getting hangout for real since she has been such a big help in relaunching my blog. Actually she’s the next person I told, after my boyfriend, about relaunching/rebranding my blog.
After our Portland trip, Sean and I had to get back into the swing of things. This is wayyy more difficult than I anticipated. That’s life though right? As the weekend hit I had a haircut appointment and decided to chop it the shortest it has ever been. I think it’s pretty much a bob style and I absolutely love it! Then later Sean and I went to my dad’s band’s gig, which is always fun.
Then came the last week of March. On Monday I talked with another blogging bestie of mine Christina on the phone. We spent an hour just chatting about what we do and some exciting projects/ideas Christina has coming up. I had to help my boyfriend find something he needed for work the next day otherwise I’m sure we could have easily spent another hour chatting.
March I realized was not only fun with the amount of activities I had planned but a really good blogging bestie connection month. I got to do my first guest post, I cohosted a twitter chat that I love, met one of my bloggie besties in real life, and spoke on the phone with another discussing exciting things coming up.
Want a sneak peak of what is coming up this month? Well I’m doing Trena Little’s #7DaysToYouTube challenge. So finally getting into starting YouTube videos, also doing a little something different for the monthly recap next month involving a YouTube video. I’m really excited for the blogging content I have planned for this month and hopefully creating a better way of managing my time so I can make time for both painting and blogging. I hope you guys had a great March, let me know what the highlight of your month was and let’s make April even better!
