So if you have been reading this blog for a bit or following me on social media then you would know I launched my Etsy shop Allie Crafts Art last Friday! WHOOP! If you haven’t checked it out yet I’ll leave the link here for you to go look! Thank you to everyone who has checked it out already, shared it, and everyone who has supported me with words of encouragement. You guys rock!
Anyways today I wanted to share with you guys another major accomplishment, at least for me, that happened recently while in preparation of launching my shop. I had my first commission experience as in I was contacted to create a custom piece for a client! WHOOP!
My friend Brittany Lockwood contacted me to create a piece of art for her to put in her new office. Even though I finished the piece and I’m sending it out in the mail today, I still can’t believe it. I can’t believe she liked my style so much to contact me to make her something special and pay me for it. Seriously Brittany thank you, thank you for supporting me as an artist, knowing you loved my style means the world to me. Anyways it was a really enjoyable experience, basically Brittany gave me pretty much 100% creative freedom; she just wanted it to incorporate a bee since her business is called Collectively Bee. Honestly I love… LOVE what I created for her. It’s one of my favorite pieces I’ve created and honestly it’s a tad nerve racking making a commission because obviously you want your work to be it’s best. So I’m unbelievably happy with what I created.
So if you find you like my style but have something particular in mind you want created, please head over to the contact me page. You can submit a request there and we can start a conversation about custom work and the idea you have in mind. I loved creating this piece and collaborating with Brittany and I would love to make more true Allie originals.
