Guys shit just got real, sorry pardon my language but seriously though. There’s only four more days until I officially have a live Etsy shop. Honestly I can’t really wrap my head around it, even though I’ve been planning and side hustling like no other to prepare for it. Not going to lie, I have a lot to get done between now and Friday. I know a launch doesn’t have to be perfect and by no means will it be perfect but I would like to make it the best launch I possibly can. I’m pretty excited though because I got the day off from my day job on Friday so I can fully embrace, enjoy, and celebrate the launch.
For now the shop will only be prints and the canvas paintings, but I have a few other product ideas that involve my paintings, I just need to figure out the best possible way for me to create them. I’m pretty excited about my future ideas for the shop and how I can make it better. I’ve always been an ideas gal so I get new ideas daily and unfortunately for me I get super excited about all of them. That means I go through lists and revise them daily.
I hope you are enjoying the instagram count down that started last night, if you aren’t following I’m over there at @allie.explores.
I just wanted to say a quick thank you to everyone who has been so supportive and encouraging. Even though I’m launching my shop just for fun and as a way to support my creative hobbies without turning my apartment into an art gallery, it’s still a tad nerve racking. Imposter syndrome was real for a bit in June while planning since I’m a self taught painter but you know what? Art is subjective and everyone has different taste in art. It makes me happy and I’m doing this for me which is what is most important. So thank you everyone for all of your kind words of encouragement and for those just as excited as I am for this launch. I already had my first custom order request I worked on this weekend so I have a pretty good feeling about this.
Side note: I just got Creative Cloud by Adobe so I’m experimenting and figuring out my way around Photoshop. I have to say that I’m really enjoying it and can’t wait to master ALLLLLLL the Adobe programs. Also I discovered red Sunflowers were a thing yesterday and I have to say I’m obsessed. Really enjoyed styling the photos for this post yesterday, also might be because I was inspired by Liv Purvis’ photography video she uploaded to YouTube yesterday as well.
