My favorite place in all of Reno is a local coffee shop called the Hub. There are two locations but I always go to the one that is on Riverside as it is closest to my place, Sean’s place, and extremely close to my internship (which happens to be very convenient). I am absolutely obsessed with this place, as I am obsessed with many things that I write about and share with you on my blog. Pretty much for the past month and a half I have gone at least twice a week to the Hub. I went pretty often with Sean before that since we discovered this place last August but with my chaotic schedule and being very close in proximity every Monday and Friday due to my internship it has encouraged the frequent visits.
Honestly even if I wasn’t super close to its location twice a week I would probably still go as often because I am absolutely in love with the atmosphere of the Hub. It is a wonderful little coffee escape with cheerful music where I could easily spend an entire day. I actually wrote my first blog post at the Hub because it is such a creative and cheerful environment that I just started typing and couldn’t stop until I completed my first post.
My absolute favorite things to get are lattes but their cappuccinos are very delicious as well. Honestly everything is very delicious and tasty here, the Hub can do no wrong. They also have baked treats in the mornings. My favorites are the lemon blueberry scones, which I adore! And a lavender vanilla scone, which is also very delicious but something I fancy because I believe it is a truly unique scone that is made with attention to detail.
Sean and I plan on eventually getting a fancy coffee machine where we can make lattes, cappuccinos and mochas galore. Legit I am a coffee obsessed aspiring nerd and can’t wait to be able to learn to make my own and hopefully one day accomplish beautiful latte art but that’s months down the line. We decided that once we have this magnificent coffee machine we are going to buy our coffee beans from the Hub so we know that our coffee no matter what will taste phenomenal. Luckily the Hub sells their coffee beans online so that will definitely be achievable. Sean and I also one day think it would be cool to grow our own coffee beans but we have no idea what that idea entails and also have not even looked into or researched if this is doable.
Definitely if you are in Reno you need to stop by the Hub. It is an awesome place and all of the people who work there are friendly. I’m starting to think a few of them recognize me but don’t know my name. I honestly do not know what I am going to do in a few days when I move back to California. This is honestly the thing I will miss the most from Reno, I will miss my twice a week Hub visits.
