Colored jeans are a great style piece for fall, provided they are the right color. By this I’m referring to dark shades on the color spectrum like a dark green, burgundy, navy, or grey. A couple of weeks ago I bought a pair of grey jeans from JCrew on sale as I had torn a hole in a pair of my jeans and had to retire them. This forced me to go jean shopping… something I’m not a huge fan of. Luckily, I came across these grey jeans at JCrew that fit rather flatteringly so I was pleased. I think grey jeans will be a great way to change up my look and style selection with being on trend for fall.
It was sort of a strange feeling buying a pair of grey jeans. I had a pair way back in eighth grade when skinny jeans had just become a style. So of course I had a pair of grey skinny jeans thinking I was so cool and skater. Oh Allie, little did you know you were far from it. Ha! Middle school memories just makes me giggle. Anyways, I’ve thrown a few outfits together to show you how I plan on styling my grey jeans once it gets a bit cooler outside. I’ve also paired these outfits with my new purchased grey hat that I bought for my New York adventure in a couple of weeks. I’ve been dying to wear it so what’s a better occasion than an outfit styling blog post? I would say my style is more of a plain, clean or classic I guess would be a better description. I like my clothes to be more plain, if anything I’ll wear stripes or polka dots for a pattern otherwise I like just plain colors. This way I can focus on the little details to really put together an outfit and make it stand out. For example, like a pair of flats decorated to look like a taxi, red booties, or even just a bit of extra gold detailing to a pair of black booties just adds a little extra something to make the outfit pulled together and special. I hope you have enjoyed this post. What do you think of grey jeans and how would you style them?
