For those of you who don’t know me pretty well, I absolutely love the brand Kate Spade (I guess the title of this post kind of gave that away). My obsession with this brand began about two years ago, the fall of 2013 when I was in dire need of a new pair of glasses. My old glasses were terrible and I never wore them in public as both of the lenses were cracked halfway through and scratched. Since I was taking an 8 AM anatomy lab that semester I told my mom that I needed a pair of new glasses so that way I didn’t have to force contacts in my eyes since I really am not a big morning person. She agreed with me that it was time to replace my broken glasses.
As you can probably guess I ended up discovering Kate Spade glasses frames, which I ended up adoring and are now today my current pair of glasses. After that I decided to look up Kate Spade’s website and the rest was history!
I love Kate Spade’s style because it’s classic, simple, and feminine. I absolutely love bows, which are included in a fair amount of her designs. I’m also a huge fan of her style because it’s not crazy and over the top with a busy pattern. They are definitely a “less is more.”
Luckily, I’ve been pretty good at making sure I don’t spend every paycheck on Kate Spade. Whenever I want to buy something, expensive or not, I either put it in a wish list (via Nordstrom’s app) or screenshot it and look at it everyday for a period time. If I still really like the item after a period of time, I then I decide to buy it. This actually eliminates a lot of items I see that I kinda like but don’t think I’ll get a good amount of use out of in order to justify spending the money on it. This is how I’ve been able to budget Kate Spade items as well as other clothes.
I’ve taken photos of my collection of Kate Spade items that are below. I hope you have enjoyed this post and find my tip of how to really decide before you buy!
