As it is the beginning of September I have only become more excited for fall to start. It felt soon last week when the temperatures started to drop but clearly Mother Nature was joking with us because 100’s all this week says otherwise. I mean come on Mother Nature! Isn’t a four year drought enough of a joke?
I always look forward to the fall season after my birthday. I think the transition from summer to fall is my favorite. I enjoy the changing colors of the leaves, the slight drop in temperature so that wearing sweaters is comfy, and so I can finally wear boots again to compliment my outfits but keep me warm as well. Shortly after my birthday, I used the money I received to buy these adorable pair of maroon booties. The only downside is that I have been waiting for it to cool down to wear them and that has made me even more excited/anxiously waiting for fall to finally arrive! I really wanted to take a photo of me wearing the booties but unfortunately with it being 100 and up all this week I just couldn’t. So instead I took a picture of my booties with my decorative pumpkin in order to go along with the fall enthusiasm theme of this post.
I’m also really looking forward to wearing berry lipsticks again; hands down my favorite makeup look. However, once spring rolls around it gets difficult to wear. Of course I ended up buying three berry lipsticks over the course of the summer and have been waiting and waiting to wear them. See why I just want fall to be here? Ha! The first one I got was Darkside by Mac back in May. I have Lily Pebbles to thank for that. She’s one of my favorite beauty bloggers so when I saw her swatches of this color I knew I needed it. The other two I got in July when Bite Beauty first launched their limited edition frozen berries matte lipsticks. Bite Beauty is one of my favorite brands so when I heard they were releasing this line I got to Sephora as soon as I could and ended up purchasing two colors. All of these lipsticks are photographed below.
Another thing that makes fall so exciting is everything pumpkin flavored! Am I right? Pumpkin pie is one of my favorite things ever so naturally I’m obsessed with any and all things pumpkin flavored. Especially muffins and bread, you can’t go wrong with pumpkin muffins and pumpkin bread. My great grandpa makes delicious pumpkin bread every fall, it is just sooooooo delicious! I need to get that recipe from him.
I think my absolute favorite thing about fall is definitely Halloween. Halloween is my favorite holiday and I love everything about it! I’ve always loved playing dress up as a kid (actually it was my favorite thing to do) so having a holiday exclusively dedicated to it resonates with me. I still love watching Hocus Pocus each year and of course the Halloween decorations are amazing! I mean can ya blame me for being so excited for fall with all of these things to look forward to? What are you excited for this fall?
